Currently I prefer coloring his eyes a purplish grey, but back when I was in middle school I actually used to color his eyes red too haha
Tumblr media
Middle school was also my vampire phase so that explains a lot LMAO
Red eyes also make him match with sneasel so I think he looks good in it too haha
Tumblr media
good evening everyone which one is your favourite silvers eye colour personally i love red coz im a sucker for red eyes it gives vampire but in my fics i keep writing him with silver eyes coz of his namesake eventho the silver iris is only available as his pokespe counterpart however that dazzling purple does bewitch me. i love him

Hey Pinky I am back with my Lynel Farm something that came to my mind because of irish!Reader but it has more with the mythology that kicked my brain. I am ancient compared to most people for the category of Anime. I watched Beyblade Metal Fusion as a kid but it's not about that even if it would be funny. But I write about another childhood series I saw, Inuyasha. As I don't know if you know this Anime I make a little headcanon. This is Inuyasha!Reader.
They lived in the feudal lands of Japan.
Reader may look young, like 15 to 17, but they are actually over 200 years old.
They are a Hanyou, which means they are half human and half Youkai, a half-demon.
Even though their mother had a title that is the same rank of a princess, they were treated horribly with only their mother as support.
But demons didn't accept them either as they were still part human.
Their father was a dog demon, a strong one at that, with the title of the Lord of the Western Lands.
And his blood is strong which is why Reader has white silvery hair with golden yellow eyes.
Except it's a new moon, in this phase of the night they lose all their abilities they have as a Hanyou, don't worry I will list them later.
At the new moon they have the hair colour of Reader with their eye colour as it's their human part and they hate the new moon as it also makes them vulnerable.
They wear the Robe of the Fire-Rat, it's from their father, with a white hadagi undershirt. And with this they are fireproof. They can walk through a forest fire and come out alive and without a scratch. And they always go around barefoot.
Their abilities are enhanced jumps, they can jump from a one story house up to the roof of a four story high house. They have superhuman strength like Reader punches through solid steel. Superhuman speed, they can outrun a horse without problems and as their stamina is inhuman as well. They can run through the whole day and still make it through the complete nightshift. Their agility and reflexes are nothing to brush off either, they can catch and destroy arrows mid air even if they stand with their back to their opponent or opponents. Their durability and accelerated healing will shock the Chain, especially Hyrule. They can get impaled through their stomach and survive it while fighting! And within a day the wound is gone without leaving a single scar.
As a dog demon they have enhanced senses of smell and hearing. They can smell the hints of blood from kilometres away and can hear what people were whispering from a great distance away. They also have dog ears which are very fluffy like the ones from an Akita Inu.
Their fighting style is unorthodox to say at least as they are extremely stubborn and refuse to back down, even when their life is in danger. As they won't back down and fight with their claws if their sword isn't available or they don't want to use it and they can solidify their own blood and make it into flying blades.
Now to their sword. It's called Tessaiga which is the sword that can "kill a hundred demons in a single stroke" and it looks like a Katana that's about to break until they draw it to protect someone, who is dear to them. Then it looks like an overgrown dog fang and its cross guard has a large patch of fur also similar to the one of a dog. But it only changes into this form by Reader's hand only.
But their demon blood is also their weakness. You see Tessaiga is practically suppressing and sealing Reader's demon half away to a certain content. When they are in life danger and don't have Tessaiga with them they can become a full-fledged demon and attack every living being they deemed as a threat.
They also have an older half-brother and they hate each other. A deceased wife and a daughter which is a quarter part demon.
Now to the group. They will be so suspicious of each other. Reader is half demon but not with Ganon, they don't even know who that is and they don't understand one word from each other. Reader will be confused with them as in their home people with pointed ears are normally demons but the Chain don't look, smell or fight like one.
But after they learned the language I think they will tolerate each other but begin to trust after a while. Well except for Wind he loved to be carried by them as they are fast and jump far away. Four screams at them because of Tessaiga's broken form until they show him the real one. Then he is all over them and their sword as it's made out of the fang tooth of their father and its attacks are very destructive. They also can fight through an army of monsters and even without breaking a sweat and without injuries on them.
But also can find traces far easier than Twilight as they have a more sensible nose than him. But they can't stand him, they have bad experience with wolves, one tried to court and kidnapped their late wife. So they often say to him "Wolf-Cub", it was an insult for the wolf demon back then.
But Reader and Legend will have so many fights as Reader is pretty hotheaded and got betrayed the worst possible way. Their first love pinned them with a seal and an arrow onto a tree. They were hated by humans and demons alike so they are harsh. Hyrule still wants to heal them after they encounter a tough opponent even if Reader can lift a Lynel and can bite through the neck of a Gleeok. Time will be impressed as he is not half as nimble as they are. Yes, Wild is technically 117 years old but he slept 100 years but Reader was only sealed away for 50 years until they were back kicking and screaming so they have his respect.
Sky will be the most suspicious one at first as they are a half demon after all. But he will notice that they are really protective over the people they care for and see as their friends and family. And as he asked about their life, after they trust the group. They talk about their daughter, their late wife, the adventures they went through, their deceased friends, their half-brother, how they met their wife and so on and Sky as the true romantic he is will ask more about the missus. Wars tries to get them to stop being so reckless even if they eliminate 100 monsters alone he can't allow that. Wild will ask about recipes from their homeland and they have some, which their mother shared with them when they got sick, which is a very rare occasion.
But they definitely disappear when it's the new moon until dawn so they don't see their human form. It's stuck with them since they were a child, to hide when its new moon as they are vulnerable at this time and feel pain. Or have their abilities anymore but if one of them saw that they will threaten the Link with his life.
I've got no notes. XD
I think you've covered most, if not, all of the bases. I know what anime you're talking about but I've never seen it. I have the faintest suspicion that this is more or less the timeline/backstory of the dog man half demon from the show. XD
Actually, I lied. One note.
I don't know if Twilight would register "Wolf-Cub" being an insult or not. He'd probably think it was just a nickname and that Reader just straight couldn't care less about him. Kinda like "Yes, I am a wolf. Thank you for noticing. Why say it like that?"
Unless he starts to think that it's actually a term of endearment because Reader is a dog demon and also calling him pup/cub from time to time like Time does (in fics- I forgot if that's canon or not.)
With all of this in mind, I think that it would lead to a funny one-sided hate/tolerate relationship where Twilight just doesn't register Reader hating his guts for literally no reason. XD

if you like anime/manga and want to scream about it with me go to @katytheinspiredjjkblog also I'm starting to scribble and draw again, and I got a hand-me-down ipad to try and use as a tablet so I'm going through growing pains with that too, so if you want to see what I'm drawing (or any of my drawings from the past 10 years) you can find them at @katytheinspiredartblog
stuff I'm watching/have watched under the cut:

Your fabolousness, ti's I poll nonnie back after taking a sabbatical due to some more tea I was unwittingly a part of.... if it pleases and sparkles to you and the court I'd like to share and update cause you can't make this shit up kids. So grab a cigarette or some popcorn and buckle up.
Remember that guy I was asking about ghosting? I dodged a train with that one. You see it's my personal hypothesis men have evolutionarily lost their brains to make room for something bigger: *the audacity*. This mother fucker. This man. He was using me to make his real goal jealous. See I was right, I was the side piece... and his main squeeze? A married woman. Well I make sound more treacherous than it was but they knew each other from college and were friends in that way a man and a woman are when they don't wanna say they fucking lest they scare off other potential mates. As observed in the wild aka a horny college campus. So anyways apparently they reconnected but she's happily married so he was talking to me to make her interested... how do I know all of this? I have another friend who is like a bloodhound when it comes to scandal. The girl is like fox news of gossip but she actually has credibility and reputable sources unlike them. So yeah I had to take some time to process that I was talking to homewrecker... and I mean the worst part is man told me to hit the gym. Him. Homewrecker. Told a fine bitch like me to hit the gym.... these men will wanna say they're Clark Kent's looking for a Lois Lane but fools aren't even impressive enough to be a Jimmy Olsen. Make wannaback hand some good old fashioned common sense into the idiots. Anyways, scandals from an old college friend group are something.... needless to say I delete Facebook, that den of sinners.... and I know we're not supposed to judge others but how can we not when they're that fucking stupid? Anyways poll nonnie out, keep slaying your fabolousness and gotta say love the theme wanted to say it when you first changed it, was a fan of the inuyasha phase but those are America's tits and I salute them. Nonnie out.
brother eughhh 😨 you fr dodged a bullet cus that is so crazy what. not him tryna make you insecure whilst he's using you to get with a married woman 💀 glad u got outta there babes.
also thank yewww, ngl i miss my inuyasha theme but YES THOSE ARE AMERICA'S TITS 🫡 and star and stripe has been running laps in my gay little brain.

Ships;
Going over the common ships for my muses and how I feel about them personally. Note: things can typically change with an individual portrayal, but these are my impressions from canon and how they relate to my portrayal. They are in random order...
Zuko
Zutara: I hate it. Sure, Zuko is easy and will be with just about anyone who likes him, but I just find this ship grosses me out in a way I can't articulate well. It feels disrespectful to Katara's feelings for Aang and I really like them.
Zuko/Mei: it was stupid when it happened and I'm glad they broke up.
Zuko/Jet: OTP
Zuko/Sokka: maybe maybe maybe
Zutoph: she seems young compared to him? Regardless of actual age, I don't really see it.
My fav ship for Zuko is a random crossover ship I write with my wife and it's with Elsa from "Frozen."
Sessomaru
S*ssr*n: big no.
S*ssinu: wtf no. Block me.
Sesskik: fucking no. Block me. Sesskag is the same level of ick.
Sesskagu: viable, but Kagura deserves better.
Sessomaru/Naraku: maybe maybe maybe.
My favorite ship for Sessomaru is no ship. Maybe a queer platonic partnership with SOMEBODY. A crossover or OC could work, but please keep in mind he is not interested in sex.
Anakin
Anidala: his queen, his BAE. OTP, even if they're so toxic I don't care I love them.
Obikin: get the fuck out. NOTP. Let them be complicated and platonic. I HC they are ridiculously intimate, but with zero sex or sexual energy. They shower together in a single stall and shave each other, but they don't see each other sexually and I will not write anything simple with them I refuse.
Anisoka: NO.
Vader/Sidious: now if you want a fucked up master apprentice ship, this is the one. Maximum bad vibes.
Anakin could have any kind of random romance with most people, so I won't list them all out individually. But Aayla comes to mind as someone he could have been close to and possibly had an experimental phase with. /Shrug.
Inuyasha
Inukag: I have mixed feelings about what we see in canon, but overall, I like them. Idk if I would wanna write this ship or not, it greatly depends on the Kagome.
Inukik: basically the same feeling as Inukag.
Inuyasha/Koga: top tier possibilities.
Inumir: maybe maybe maybe.
Inuyasha is also someone who could end up with just about anyone. I personally hate the whole soulmates crap, as it ends up feeling cheap and lazy and lacking in autonomy.
Link
Zelink: OTP
Link/Ganon: it could work in the right circumstances.
Link/Zelda/Ganon: OT3
Link/Mipha: sorry but no... They have no chemistry and Mipha has no character... I'll still give it a maybe though because individual portrayals may change my mind.
Link/Sidon: It just doesn't feel fair to Sidon. Link will break his heart.
It's very difficult to ship with Link. He hardly ever lets people in. You need to build up so much trust and communication with him and build up to it for maybe years or through different lifetimes idk. He also isn't interested in sex, so there is no seducing him. You have to win his heart.
Vash
Vashwood: OTP OTP!!!
Vashmeryl: GTFO. platonic love only. I viscerally hate this ship and no amount of canon divergence is gonna change how I feel.
Plantcest: NO GTFO. I don't have an issue with Knives taking advantage of Vash, but that's what it is. Vash could NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS be happy, comfortable, or satisfied with this and I hate to see abuse played as romance. Abuse as abuse, I have no issues with.
Vash/Frank Marlo: tbh that one episode in the 98 Trigun awakened this ship and I really like it a lot.
Vash is not easy to actually get close to, even though he is horny all the time and wants to have relationships more than anything, his fear keeps him away. He will come onto anyone relentlessly and then back out at the last minute.
Livio
Livio is aroace and only into platonic vibes.
Wolfwood is his best friend. He loves him.
Vash is someone he cares about, but can't really hang around easily.

Shipping ask game:
- Only semi-joking here but JGY/a fucking break (since I’m sure someone else will be all over xiyao)
- whatever your favorite non-The Untamed ship is
Please and thank you 😊
jgy/a fucking break, my other OTP 🤝
and oh my god, you've done it now, I'm going to talk about fitz and the fool from the realm of the elderlings. you can't escape from this. it is as inevitable and inexorable as the changing of the seasons and my begging an extension to file my taxes every year
1. what made me ship it?
the fool's tsundere phase in royal assassin where you can almost feel his feelings for fitz changing as fitz grows more and more infatuated with molly; a very baby queer experience imo, which makes sense because I was about 13 when I was reading these books for the first time and I too was very aloof and sullen and "fine, it's not like I like you anyway" towards the other boys and girls I did, in fact, like anyway. if this seems childish, please see the above sentence where I indicate I was a literal child when I read these books for the first time. like. fitzloved was my first queer ship, but I happened to get into it while I was also reading inuyasha fan translations online (page by page, downloaded through a 56k modem connection in the late 90s/early 00s) so, yeah.
re-reading the books as a 30-something, what made me ship them was their gentle and effortless domesticity at the start-ish of fool's errand, where even fitz calls out how seamlessly the fool adapts to his and nighteyes' way of living on his remote cottage homestead, and how there is no real frustrating period of adjustment as they cohabitate because they instinctively understand each other so well. it's such a marked departure from how fitz's relationship with molly goes, first in their fractious youth (where fitz is a truly terrible lover to molly, who deserves better) and then later on when /zips my lips because spoilers for the last trilogy, and I know I have some followers who are reading the books through for the first time.
anyway tl;dr they're in love your honour, and it is the defence's position that they should fuck about it, I rest my case.
2. what are my favourite things about the ship?
oops I kind of answered that already
(son of oops, I forgot to change the font and I managed to fail correcting it three different times, so it stays.)
3. is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
ummm I'm not sure. I rather transparently do not like the end of the last trilogy, which I will again avoid discussing because spoilers, but I'm not sure that is an unpopular opinion, exactly. it used to be unpopular in some corners of the fandom, many many moons ago, to assert that the Fool wasn't actually a woman pretending to be a man, because fantasy as a genre that was open and welcoming to queer characters (and writers) is a comparatively new phenomenon, and so for a lot of fans the only way to make fitz/fool work for them was to insist that the fool had been a woman all along. which is very 👎👎👎 imo, not because I'm someone who ascribes to the "the fool is really a man" school of thought either. the fool's gender is a fluid and amorphous thing that is frankly none of my business lmao but regardless, even the pale woman knows that fitz is hot for his bestie regardless of his sex or gender, which is why she tries to woo fitz with her whole "I'm like the fool, but a woman!!" spiel.

Do you prefer the full moon, new moon, waxing, waning, or crescent moon?
A moon related question T///T Anon, thank you, I'm very happy!
But this is really tough ._. Since I like every phase of the moon but lemme tell you why:
Tumblr media
Full moon - Brilliance. I don't have a telescope yet (but I will!) so I use this pair of binoculars to get a close up. I honestly spend hours watching it, watching the shadows and the craters and learning the names given to the different areas. I especially like the nights when there are great big clouds passing by and the moon gets hidden, then revealed, then hidden again etc. Sometimes the clouds and the moon create a magnificent picture tbh.
Tumblr media
New moon - Ah, good old dark nights. I love these too very much, tbh, because it's like the sky is dark and calm and quiet. I spend several nights under moonless skies too, simply because the stars are brighter (atleast what I can see where I live) and I can map them out. Whenever I see the constellations of Altair, Deneb and Vega, I feel very happy. But Orion is probably my absolute favorite. I have a special attachment to it xD
Tumblr media
Crescent moon nights are mystical, imo. Most often when nights like this also have dusty clouds around the crecent, it creates a very hauntingly beautiful picture. Nights like this somehow I remember Inuyasha (even tho full moon and new moon nights are more prominent there xD) but yeah. I love the thin slivers. It's like something's just barely there when actually, all the beauty hides (does this even make sense).
Anyway thank you for the ask, I'm genuinely so so so so so happy!

Screw it! I'll take that imaginary tag!
How many works do you have on AO3?
18! Not too bad considering I only started in November or so.
What’s your total AO3 word count?
212,094, most of it is in Father of Time.
How many fandoms have you written for, and what are they?
All Zelda currently but back in the day I used to write for more! Sailormoon, Inuyasha, Shoujo Kakumei Utena, World of Warcraft even!
Top five fics by kudos:
"Father of Time" with 296 kudos! Not bad! It's my longest fic and ongoing so I'm always happy when I get new people to it. I wonder if I'll get to 300 sometime soon.
"A Wild Time at Calamity Ganon" with 222 kudos! This is my rising star and I wonder if it'll pass FoT someday soon. It's my newest non-FOT fic and was a gift to an artist I really like, who in turn drew more art for the fic itself! Amazing how popular it's been!
"Defeat or Deity" with 155! This was one of my early fics and an LU one. Sky versus Time trapped in the Fierce Deity mask. It's one of my shorter ones but it was great fight writing practice.
"The Unbearable Weight of Three Days" with 109. I love this fic. It's another LU one and honestly the whole premise for it was so great. I always wish this one gained more traction because the interactions between Time and Young Link are so interesting. Well, at least I enjoy it.
"You Want to Talk to Link, Right?" with 91. This one was *fun* and I started writing a second part to it but it went in a direction I wasn't ready for so I'm thinking on it. Basically, the Chain finds out that a song Time plays actually tries to contact someone named Link! I wonder who it is?
Do you respond to comments?
Yes! Almost every single one! I won't always respond to every nested comment if it seems like the conversation is over with but I love engaging with commenters on my fics!
What’s the fic with the angstiest ending you’ve ever written?
I haven't really been doing a lot of angst in my current return to fandom writing but I'd say "Time and Time Again" probably has the most bittersweet ending. "The Silent Realm" maybe comes in as a close second?
Do you write crossovers?
It depends on how you describe a crossover. I have in the past but not really much in my current Zelda phase. But I've had thoughts about crossovers if that counts!
Have you ever gotten hate on a fic?
No real hate yet! this is not an invitation to send me hate, haha.
Do you write smut?
Naw, that's not really my jam!
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
not as far as I know
Have you ever had a fic translated?
No
What’s your all-time favorite ship?
Oh gosh, this is a hard one because I like to leave options option, you know? I really do love Skyward Sword Zelink though; they are adorable and I want them to be happy forever. I'm also very partial to OOT Malink because I feel like Link wouldn't handle Zelda's rejection well and Malon is just a cutie.
What’s a wip that you want to finish, but don’t think you ever will?
I had to look through my docs for this but there was a fic I started back in the beginning that was basically what BotW Link experienced while he was in the 100 year sleep. I almost forgot about that! It's a neat idea but I don't think I'll get to it anymore. You never know though.
What are your writing strengths?
I like to think I have a nice style, that I try to write in a way that makes the words flow well through one's thoughts. Maybe that's just me but I always try to write in a way that makes my brain happy. It means I spend a lot of time re-structuring sentences until they "flow" well but it's worth it.
What are your writing weaknesses?
I probably over-think phrases and passages too much. It's hard to let go and just let something be.
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fics?
I think if you know multiple languages and can do it well, it's great! I'd love to put more languages in my fics but even fictional ones can feel awkward at times.
What was the first fandom you ever wrote for?
Probably Sailormoon, officially. I don't think I ever wrote them down but I definitely had a lot of story ideas in my head for, like, Xmen and stuff in the 90s.
What’s your favorite fic you’ve written so far?
Father of Time, definitely. I write this one because I love it and I need to see it through to the end so I know what happens. I like all my fics and I could gush here about every single one but yeah, I think I'd always come back to Father of Time. Fierce Deity my beloved. <3
Oooohh, I should tag some people maybe! @aeghina I usually tag you, haha. Man, my brain is mush. Please someone else join in as well!
Ao3 tag game!
THANKS @ragecndybars FOR THE TAG I APPRECIATE IT
*cracks knuckles* lets do this
How many works do you have on AO3?
24 works! I would have never expected to have that many 5 years ago, hahaha
What's your total AO3 word count?
186,291! oh wow, almost 200k!! (unsurprisingly PT minato takes up over a third of that LMAO)
How many fandoms have you written for, and what are they?
10 fandoms! I'm counting Persona 3, 4, and 5 and separate, but I'm grouping all the Zelda fandoms together since it's all Linked Universe fic.
Here's the breakdown!
The Legend of Zelda & Related Fandoms (6)
Persona 5 (5)
Persona 3 (5)
SPY x FAMILY (Anime) (3)
Wizard101 (Video Game) (3)
SPY x FAMILY (Manga) (3)
Runescape (Video Games) (3)
Pirate101 (Video Game) (3)
Persona 4 (2)
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom (2)
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood & Manga (1)
Star Wars - All Media Types (1)
The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Warriors (1)
Top five fics by kudos:
The Ghost of Mementos/Stygian Ringlet (Persona3/5) - to the surprise of absolutely no one, since this is currently my longest fic. I'm very happy with Stygian Ringlet being the top because I love my boys :)
True Crime Special on the Midnight Channel (Persona 4/5) - my Ren has a TV Dungeon fic! also very proud of the dungeon concept for this one, I really need to finish the last two chapters
Dark Clouds on the Horizon (Linked Universe/TOTK) - I feel like this one got a lot of momentum partially because it was directly in the wake of TOTK's release, but I'm happy with how it turned out :)
Strangers Are Just Friends You Haven't Met (Persona 3/SPY x FAMILY) - this was a collab series with mewrose and a few others in the marigolds discord! we were throwing ideas at the wall to see what stuck and I really had a lot of fun with Shinjiro-related prompts, because I LOVE him and hitting him with the isekai baseball bat into a universe with Anya brings me great joy
Salt Tears and Raindrops (Linked Universe/TOTK) - directly related to Dark Clouds, and I'm glad people enjoyed good ol' fashioned angst >:) (I do need to post more of my wips, I do have a couple more roleswap AU wips that I want to post)
Do you respond to comments?
Yes! I almost always do because I really appreciate them and its my way of saying thanks for the comment! If I don't comment it's because I lost track of it or because I can't think of a response.
What's the fic with the angstiest ending you've ever written?
Probably Salt Tears and Raindrops. I was in a Mood and decided to go for the tried-and-true method of putting fictional characters I like through the emotional wringer. That's how I got the rough draft for this fic :)
Do you write crossovers?
*looks at my persona fics and recent LU fics*
...I think it's safe to say most of my fics these days fall under crossovers lmao
Have you ever gotten hate on a fic?
I wouldn't say I have? One or two comments that came off as rude, but no actual hate, thankfully. If I did, I forgot about it. I've been blessed by wonderfully nice readers <3
Do you write smut?
Nope. I don't read it, so I wouldn't know how to write it anyway.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of? I sure hope not.
I have seen a couple short fics slightly imitate Ghost of Mementos though, which I thought was really sweet that they liked it enough to inspire their own writing.
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope, but I'd definitely be open to it!
What’s your all-time favorite ship?
RYOMINA. Hands down. I love them so much, I am so mentally unwell about these two
What’s a WIP that you want to finish, but don’t think you ever will?
My two Runescape fics, Whispers in the Temple and Welcome to the Jungle. I absolutely loved going hogwild with rewriting old quests in Runescape, but I psyched myself out of Welcome to the Jungle because I got overly anxious about accidentally doing bad representation.
(in hindsight, it probably wouldn't have been as big a deal as I thought; it's hard to make it worse considering how bad Legend's Quest was with the british-african stereotypes. that quest DID NOT age well.)
I also want to finish Snake in the Grass; that was my first attempt at a genuine mystery plot and I really liked playing with Warriors in that fic in the context of the gang trying to figure out who the heck is trying to murder him.
What are your writing strengths?
I feel like I'm pretty good at dialogue! I try to make sure it matches the character's speech patterns and personality. Really well-written dialogue can tell you who's speaking without actually telling who it is. (For example, the way I write them: Minato speaks as few words as possible and has very little filter with his observations when he does share them, and Shinjiro is pretty rough around the edges, with shortened words and the occasional swear. Warriors is good with words and wit, but he has a certain military-esque directness and doesn't dance around the topic.)
I do try hard to keep the plot clear and understandable over everything else, so probably that as well.
Also, now that I think about it, maybe fight sequences? I don't do them much, but I do enjoy the challenge of making a clear sequence of what happens in a fight and trying to make it understandable. Fight sequences are easy to skip or gloss over, but I think of them like their own miniature plot. What happens? What surprises are there? What are their movesets? How do they get the upper hand? (and of course, what looks cool as fuck)
What are your writing weaknesses?
Time management. I tend to over-proofread since I beta my own work, and often I'll go back to tweak stuff if I had additional thoughts to add to it, or extra insight. Lately, it takes longer to write chapters than I'd like.
Also, dialogue-heavy scenes often get very chaotic in my WIPs because of the way I rough out fics. I'll throw together a bunch of dialogue bits I think would be cool to include, and sometimes they'll clash or get really messy, especially if there's lots of characters (looking at the latest two chapters of Stygian Ringlet)
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fics?
I think it's cool! It adds flavor to fics. If it's more than one short phrase though, or if it's story important, then I do prefer that there is a translation in the author's notes. I haven't done any non-English dialogue in fics, save for one memorable adventure into trying to figure out how Latin grammar structure works for a character that didn't speak English.
What was the first fandom you ever wrote for?
Wizard101 and Pirate101. I was obsessed with those two for YEARS. I really, really liked pirate stories in high school, and having a cast of crewmates that accompany you throughout the game really inspired me to write my first fic featuring my OC. (I was also into One Piece at the time, but I never wrote for it.)
What’s your favorite fic you’ve written so far?
Stygian Ringlet. It's really dear to my heart. I have poured so much love and effort into that fic, and the reception on it has completely blown me away.
THANKS FOR THE TAG!! Uhhhmmm for tags I'm going to go with @skyward-floored, @catreginae and @breannasfluff (but only if you want to!! no obligation of course)
and of course any other writers that want to do it as well!! go forth

I'm sorry that something is making you anxious while stuck at home and not feeling well, that really sucks... I wish I could help somehow, but I've put together some questions if you need to take your mind off things for a while:
1) Some of your favourite shows from your childhood
2) Favourite food/comfort food (if they're different)
3) If you were to say a lie, what would it most likely be about?
4) Are you good at cooking? If so, what's your favourite thing to prepare?
5) Do you have any particular phobia?
6) And, since we're on the subject, when you're sick, what do you usually do to take care of yourself/spend the time?
Hope this will be able to distract you a tiny bit and that you'll feel better soon <3
Friend, you are so extremely sweet and thoughtful and I appreciate you so much! This literally warmed my heart and was super helpful. I hope that you are feeling better with your cold, too. Thanks for sending a sweet distraction, and I am always available to do the same for you if you ever need it!
I grew up with top tier cartoons in the 90s! I used to be obsessed with Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z and InuYasha. But also loved cartoons like Hey Arnold, Rugrats, Rocko's Modern Life, Aaah! Real Monsters, Totally Spies...there's too many to list! I did go through an Anime phase (and still have an appreciation for it.) And I forever love Spongebob LOL I still make Spongebob references!
I love pizza with my whole heart. I've had pizza in Italy and it changed my life.
I'd never admit that I read fanfics IRL. Only to one of my besties, but even though she doesn't know what I read/how much I read.
I have the potential, but I don't do it all that often. I do enjoy it though! Cooking is a huge part of my culture, though. I actually cooked my first Christmas meal for my parents last weekend. It was my first time ever cooking a whole turkey and I must say it came out pretty delish!
I actually have trypophobia!! It's such a strange thing! I'm scared of other things, like heights and bugs, but that in particular gets a primal reaction out of me. I also have a fear of throwing up lol
If I'm able to, I try and rest as much as I can. Been playing some video games, reading, drawing, and trying to stay hydrated. Fortunately I'm on winter break, so I can be resting. It's hard when I'm at work though and don't have the time. I think I'm gonna try and get some fresh air today, too!
Seriously, though, thank you for your friendship and for always being so kind and supportive. 🥹 You are a huge part of why Tumblr is my safe space! I'm going to ask you these questions in your ask box now, so be prepared!!

I need some Inuyasha as a great father (more like DILF, amirite?) headcanons, can you help me out?
I'm here to serve!
• It isn’t until they’re happily married for at least one or two years that the possibility of children are brought up.
• At first, they took that time to relearn each other, enjoy their company and make the honeymoon phase last a little long. They did spend three years apart, after all. There’s so much time to make up for, so many catching up to do before they’d even think to throw a kid into the mix. Plus, being a modern woman, Kagome would know how to avoid pregnancy the best her new circumstances allowed and how important that time alone is for a newly-married couple.
• They never actually had the child talk because Kagome just assumed that’s where their relationship would naturally lead to, given her motherly tendencies and Inuyasha’s history of ultimately giving her everything she wants. For his part, Inuyasha knew she wanted to be a mother someday and he'd be lying if he said he never indulged the fantasy of fathering her children. However, he has serious trouble wrapping his mind around the idea that, in reality, Kagome would still be up for it if he were to be the father. He could never dare to ask of her more than she has already given him. Be that as it may, it was not a big deal because it was not a dealbreaker. Nothing was.
• But with time, Kagome would have noticed how good Inuyasha is with Hisui and the Mirsan twins. How his relationship with Shippo had developed from a sibling banter to a makeshift paternal relationship. How people like Shiori and Bunza would look up to him like he was some kind of movie hero. How every kid in the village seemed to adore him despite his grumpy demeanor.
• And Inuyasha would have noticed the way Kagome would look at him whenever he so much as interacted with a child, the way her smell would spike significantly.
• She, of course, was the one to make the first move, jumping him one night, after they had spend the whole day stuck with babysitting the Mirsan children and popping the question.
• Inuyasha was relutant. There was a part of him that was adamant on making her happy and even believed having babies would make him happy too. On the other hand, he was terrified. Terrified of how her body would react to childbirth, of if her spiritual powers would accept his demonic energy. But mostly, about what would happen once the baby was born. The last thing he wanted was for Kagome to go through everything his mother had to go through. Or for another kid to face the same prejudice he did. Besides, he grew up with no father figure whose steps he could follow. He didn’t know how to be a father.
• Kagome assures him that they won’t have a baby until they’re both ready and on the same page, that they have time and that Inuyasha will be a great father.
• Inuyasha believes her.
• Then it is him felling some type of way whenever he sees Kagome around kids. And something deep inside desperately wishes to find out what would their children look like, what would it be like to hold and take care of someone born from their love.
• Finally, he caves.
• Inuyasha wants a big family, considering how lonely his childhood was. Kagome finds it pivotal for their first-born to have a sibling, since she had Sota and their relationship was one of the most important things in her life. That’s why they’d have two children minimum, preferably a boy and a girl. However, giving how dangerous and uncomfortable childbirth can be, especially without the perks the modern era provides, I don’t think they’d have more than three.
• Naturally, Inuyasha relies on Miroku for advice and the latter is more helpful than not. Except for the times Inuyasha asks or says something that makes it way too easy for Miroku to mess with him. Like the time he told Inuyasha that if he doesn’t get Kagome whatever food she craves while pregnant, the baby will be born looking exactly like that food. And Inuyasha believed him.
• And if you thought Inuyasha was protective of Kagome before... oh boy! He’d be almost overbearing, but Kagome would see it as endearing. Most of the time. Sometimes, though, a woman has got to have her privacy. He also becomes more attentive, more gentle, sweeter.
• After their first child is born, Inuyasha gets a makeover of sorts. He’s always borrowing the Fire Rat to Kagome and the baby anyway, so he figured it’d be more practical to just pass the clothes on to them already and get something new for himself.
• It’s white.
• Inuyasha becomes taller, stronger. And often lets Kagome experiment with his hair with braids, top nots... and ponytails.
• Old Myoga is the first one to notice the resemblance. And it’s true. He’s the spitting image of Toga. Former enemies and allies often mistaken him for Toga and Kagome thinks the look on their (and Inuyasha’s) face is hilarious.
• Sesshoumaru does not care for it (I stole this one from @heavenin--hell).
• Inuyasha hates his human nights even more because now his vulnerability also means he might not be able to protect his family as he usually would (Together Changed by @goshinote and @lostinfantasyworlds inspired this one). Plus, the black hair and lack of dog ears confuses the baby, who cries and fusses for a good while until realizing it is, in fact, Inuyasha holding them (this one I saw in an adorable fanart I can’t find).
• But since he needs way less sleeping than humans and he spends the New Moons up anyway, Inuyasha gets a lot of quality time with their infant at night, which allows Kagome to actually get a good night sleep unless the baby is hungry.
• The Beads of Subjugation get dooled and chewed on. A lot.
• A little contest takes place between Kagome and Inuyasha about what the first word of their first child would be, with Kagome going for “dada” and Inuyasha going for “mama.”
• Kagome wins.
• Inuyasha’s fighting style changes. He still says some snarky remarks, but now it’s more to push his opponent‘s buttons down so they would get sloppy than anything else. After all, he has a child to think about and provide for now. He doesn’t have the luxury of gambling with his life anymore. He has a home to come back to and therefore won’t be taking any chances (credit to @born-for-eachother for this one).
• And so he becomes more lethal on the battle field. Pragmatic. Objective. Calculating. Decisive. Cold blooded. Much like... Sesshomaru.
• He had never been more offended on his life than the day Sango pointed this out to him.
• When the kids grow up a bit, Inuyasha and Kagome start to tell them bedtime stories, with the PG version of the story about how the met and defeated Naraku being their favorite.
• Kagome tries to be a reliable and calm narrator while Inuyasha exaggerates the events and the voices, almost always breaking objects of their house in the process.
• After hearing one too many times about the Beads of Subjugation, their child tries to “sit” Inuyasha. Of course it doesn’t work, but he still makes a big deal out of throwing himself on the ground every time they say the word just to hear them laugh.
• The first actual toy Inuyasha buys them is a ball, just like the one he had as a kid, at the same time accomplishing a childhood wish through them and ensuring that they would always have someone to play with.
• Kagome is more protective of their physical state while Inuyasha is more protective of their emotional one (see Fist Fight by @omgitscharlie)
• Inuyasha goes to Totosai and asks him to make a weapon out of one of his fangs to each of their children once they get old enough for it. Not necessarily a sword, just something of their choice and that better fits their personality.
• He would be a just father, doing his best to show no favoritism, treat his children equally and make sure no one felt overlooked or unloved.
• But truth be told, if one of their babies turn out to be a daughter, he would definitelly let her get away with almost anything, no matter how much of a gremlin she is. Daddy’s little girl would have him wrapped around her tiny fingers.
• Life never treated Inuyasha kindly. From a very young age, it was kill or be killed. It wouldn't be too far off for him to think the exact same thing could happen with his kids, therefore he tries to prepare them, to tough them up so they can take it.
• And I believe this sentiment would be significantly amplified with a son, because it would involve the whole “suck it up”, “men don’t cry” and “man of the house” aspect of it. The “it is your duty to protect your mother and sister when I’m gone” too, especially because he couldn’t protect Izayoi himself.
• It’s “tough love”, but it’s love nonetheless. And in the right dose, which I believe Inuyasha manages to nail, it can be very important for one’s development and growth.
• But it’s hard to imagine him being as tough with a daughter. Probably because he sees so much of Kagome on her that the mere idea of seeing her cry simply breaks him.
• Kagome would actually have to step in when it comes to disciplining and saying “no”, because he simply wouldn’t have it in him to do so.
There’s actually a really nice post by @keichanz I reblogged a while ago discussing precisely that, but I can’t find it to save my life (should I start to properly tag my reblogs? No, it’s a lot of work and I’m right not to).
Anyway, that’s all I got for now.
Peace out.

I’ve been out of touch with anime as of late so you can imagine my absolute horror when I found out that Inuyasha had a sequel where Sesshomaru had kids with Rin. Wtaf I thought we were past this. I thought that we were progressing past this goddamn genre of “couples”. The studio making this sequel pulled an Usagi Drop on every dedicated Inuyasha fan and said, “yeah, this is going to be an anime about feminism”. I’m so heartbroken but I’m glad that there’s some semblance of sanity here because Twitter and Instagram are just minefields.
I imagined this is your reaction when you came back from anime hiatus only to find all the madness that was unleashed 😂😂
Tumblr media
On a serious note though, I'm sorry that you have to feel this way 😭 and I'm sorry too to everyone whose experiences with the og Inuyasha series were forever tainted because of that horrendous pairing :" This is something we didn't foresee and expected to happen, except for those who have weird fetishes and haven't grown out of their self-insert phase......
imo usagi drop is another level of disgust cause it was the mangaka herself who made the ending of rin and daikichi ended up together 🤮🤮 even though we are beyond devastated that RT approved of her characters to be a romantic pairing in HnY, at least she herself actually considers their relationship as parent-guardian and child.
Yeah, ngl, twitter ig and tiktok are SUPER messed up. Especially twitter. Like, there are fights almost every single fucking day because we are not allowed to criticize their rating-is-the-same-as-One Piece show and their oh-so-beloved favorite characters. Absolutely ridiculous. Although we can also find shippers who crossed their line to comment on antis' post (they can just strolling around somewhere else and read posts that fit their tastes for fucks sake instead of "preaching" on antis' posts and tags), at least we are still able to discuss things without worrying too much that things will escalate quickly and badly. Maybe it's because tumblr is half-dead? idk but who cares ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

sorry to see/ hear you're getting weird/ pushy anons again ( through the captain underpants tag).
I needed a moment to think about how to respond to this question.
It’s good to get asks and it is good to have your asks responded to on this site. And there are times where it is fun to draw something out in response if its something that I genuinely want to draw out or seems like it’d be fun to draw.
The catch is that I can’t draw something in response to EVERYTHING I get. That’s why I sometimes write out the response instead of going for a drawing. I need to manage my time with other things.
When I see Tumblr artists that I like that draw in response to those asks, it IS cool to see how those responses turn out. But I try to be mindful as to what I’m going to ask (and sometimes I’ll even mention that they don’t have to draw anything out in response if they already had to do a lot of that). Also pay attention to how they respond to certain asks–if they are responding as a fictional character, it pays to know what questions are off limits and to regard that blog as if it were a real person so that you don’t get on the nerves of the creator. (There was someone running an ask blog and it eventually became clear what kind of questions were off limits based on what I asked and what kind of responses that character gave me in return. It took them awhile to answer some of my questions, but I could tell they were already swamped with stuff, so I was ok with waiting).
However I kind of already had a bad experience last year when it comes to anons asking me questions.
When I was in my Inuyasha/Yashahime phase, an anon kept asking me questions about a certain character even though–had they bothered to look through my posts–they’d have known what my stance was about them or at least figured it out. And they just bombarded me with too many questions in too many separate asks. And I honestly would have preferred it if they asked me ALL the questions in just one ask because I didn’t want to answer them one by one like that.
It was almost to the point where I was going to react with… well… this exact (and ironically fitting) moment from Spiderman: No Way Home-
Tumblr media
“WE TIRE OF YOUR QUESTIONS, ANON!”
And I almost did that just recently, but I needed to think about what kind of questions I was getting from the person before I got too snappy with them. And for all I know, the anon in question is probably an actual child. I can tell from their questions that they genuinely like my stuff.
I don’t know if the anons I get are from users that don’t have a Tumblr account, in which case I understand. But the thing is… if you choose to ask questions anonymously, but you ask them a certain way/ask too many in one go… it’s kind of obvious the anon is the same person. Even worse is that if anyone is asking under an anon at the exact same time, then they could get ignored in the process.
I myself opted to ask some anonymous questions for a few people, but in those cases I ESPECIALLY didn’t want them to know who I was. Especially if they displayed toxic behavior to the point that I had to eventually just filter out their posts so I didn’t have to deal with their constant complaints under the tag I was looking at. (No I wasn’t bothering them/trying to hassle them, but if you see anyone who bashes something almost EVERY DAY, then they aren’t worth interacting with to begin wit).
Also I kind of admit that I already wasn’t in the best of moods around the time I had the recent asks. And that one response was reflecting that a little.
I’m trying not to be mean because I do understand the importance of responding to those that show an interest in one’s work. It’s just that I don’t like getting overwhelmed with too many drawing requests (or just get asked ‘what if’ questions for something that I have already made clear on) by what is clearly the same person within a short amount of time.
In a bit I'm probably going to allow people to ask me questions again... but I won't be accepting anon questions for awhile.

How long have you been drawing? did it take you a long time to learn to draw? what tip could you give me to learn how to draw and improve the line? And that I always dreamed of being a kaijus illustrator, and you inspire me a lot.
Well, I've always loved to draw, since I was very little. I started drawing in Kindergarten, mostly drawing dinosaurs and unicorns or cartoon characters, like from the lion king.
It's always been my hobby. I started collecting art and anatomy books as a teen, trying to learn the human figure. I watched a lot of How to Draw videos on youtube to help me. Thing developed much quicker when I turned 16, which I hit that Sonic X fan phase X'D
I started drawing on a daily basis, mostly Sonic, but also tried anime, like Inuyasha. I was drawing with colored pencils then, until I bought myself my very first drawing tablet at around... 18 I think? By then we already had a computer. I started with paint, then switched to Photoshop, learned new tricks to work with digital art. Finally found Paint Tool Sai, which I had been using until a few months ago. Now I use Clip Studio Paint EX. Worth every penny!
I'd like to say, practice is key. BUT! Do't force yourself to practice. Draw when you feel like it. And switch things up. You don't even need to use your imagination all the time, because people only have so many ideas until the run out. I want to point out tracing is a bad thing to do. If you, for example, like a pose an artist did, please ask them beforehand if you can use that pose in a drawing. It's polite and the right thing to do.
I learned by watching others, picking out the things I liked. Like, that one person did some great shading. That other person makes really pretty eyes. This person knows how to match colors and how to draw things like clothing.
Let yourself be inspired by the things around you and slowly built yourself up. You'll develope your own style without even noticing it!
I also tried many different things, so it won't get boring. Cartoon, traditional, digital, realism, portraits, anatomy, painting, I did pottery, I worked with wood (made a little race car), nature art. Try it out, you'll figure out what suits you best ^^
And line art... That just takes time. I don't like drawing line art actually, since you need to be patient while working. And sometimes I just want to go ahead of myself :P
And last but not least, thank you for your kind words. I'm glad I can somehow inspire others with the things I do ^^

(this will be a VERY long post)
✨Time to criticize Yashahime ✨
First of all:
I will only criticize the writing aspects, so don't expect me to say anything about the animation since I barely know about that stuff
Because of this I also won't address anything of Sessrin or the discontent because of Moroha's and Inukag's separation because that's more of a fandom thing
And this is only the opinion of someone who isn't any kind of expert in writing or something like that
Uff, Yashahime finally ended and it was... Interesting.
So let's criticize it :)
So first of all let's tell the ✨the good things✨ because even if there are more bad things, infact there are very little good things, we have to give credit where credit is due.
Good things :D
The girls' originality
Something that I saw other fandoms have complained in their own "next generation sequel" (like in boruto) is that the kids were just a "copy paste" of their parents, and when Yashahime was just announced I saw the same concerns (specially with Setsuna and Moroha)
But in the end I think any of them ended up being just female Inuyasha/Sesshomaru, and all were able to be their very own character.
Half of their relationship
Ok, I'm specifying that only half because sometimes the twins would be a little unfair with Moroha, but then be her "new family"(?), But then they proceed to leave her behind, and then AGAIN being like bff's so there is no consistency.
But in the first episodes Sunrise got it right and we could see a pretty good and functional dynamic between the 3 that was consistent and made sense.
Each one had a defined role that worked, Towa was the "moral" one, Setsuna the "cold" one who took more drastic decisions, and Moroha intervenes mediating both and brings information that may help please both sides. (At the beginning)
Moroha
I'M SORRY, I'm sorry, I can't help it, it's just that she has so much charm and is so lovely and innocent. And you can totally ignore the fact that she's InuKag's daughter and still love her just because her personality brings so much to the story.
It's such a shame that they didn't really use all her potential but I'll get to that later.
Aaaand that's all ;-;
Now let's go to the interesting part...
The bad things D:<
Towa
This point I actually want to explore it further in another post, because there's a lot I want to talk about her to specify what exactly went wrong and how I would have managed her but here I will leave it simple.
Towa in any way possible wasn't properly used, and even if almost every character suffered of bad writing, she was the most affected one.
She honestly isn't interesting, everything that could have been done with her according to her backstory was completely wasted, because even if she was the one with the least tragic story, there was a lot to work with (I mean, just look at Kagome's case and still most of the fandom loved her)
She kept changing her personality and ideology according to what the story needed, and at some point her only trait was "Setsuna's protective older sister"
And don't even get me started with how overpowered she is without any kind of training (I get she knows how to fight with bullies, but clearly that isn't the same as fighting demons with demonic energy)
Phasing
When people argue if the phasing is too fast or too slow, I think it's both, but in the worst way possible.
They waste so much time in scenes that aren't really that necessary or could be much shorter, and rush at incredible speed things that should actually be worked slowly and carefully.
The fights
I only can remember two or three that I actually liked because most of them were just exchanging hits with the sword, sometimes an special movement and that's all.
Half of the battles didn't affect the story in the least, and the worst of all was how the villains were defeated wether because they were lame as fuck or because Towa's random power up appeared out of nowhere.
Meanwhile in Inuyasha even if we didn't always had the best fights of all anime, we did get some pretty interesting choreographies and some villains really had an impact on the characters in a natural way.
Talking about villains...
Naraku is laughing from his grave
You know? I'm not a Naraku fan, but he was a bastard that you loved to hate, he maybe wasn't the most powerful character when we talk purely about his strength, but he was intelligent as fuck, he was always one step ahead, he had some pretty interesting abilities and plans, with him he brought other AMAZING villains (or anti heroes) like Kagura, Kanna, Hakudoshi, the weird baby, or even Sesshomaru back at the beginning, and the best part was how he was written being a complex character (like when he struggled with his human feelings for Kikyo)
But on the other hand we have Kirinmaru, Zero, the four losers (I mean, perils), probably my boy Riku, and who knows what other random villains.
First of all, ONLY RIKU would be a good villain (maybe I should have put him in the good things ;-;)
But then we have the four perils who, out of them the only one who seemed to know what he was doing was the green guy that did weird witchcraft, but the rest? They are just randomly bothering people because they have nothing else to do and honestly they didn't seem to be that powerful.
I'm not sure about Kirinmaru because I don't see anything clear with him, I mean, I'm not even sure if he's a villain.
And Zero... *Sighs*
I don't get what the hell she's trying to do. Anything that she does makes sense. She's just alive because of Riku, without him she can't do anything.
Like seriously, half of the world was after Naraku's ass, even his allies, and still he could get away with it. Zero can't even get her army in order to take care of 3 fourteen years old girls.
(Sorry for letting myself go with this one ;-;)
Not using half of your characters
I guess the best example is Moroha because even with an interesting backstory, mysterious abilities, and most of the fandom's love, they just used her as comedic relief for most of the series instead of developing her character or explaining better her spiritual abilities or Beniyasha.
And not only her, Hisui and the rest of the demon slayers were more of a background character. For example, in Hisui's episode we should have gotten to meet him, Gyokuto, and Kin'u better, but they preferred to focus in the twins AGAIN and not work the MirSan family. (Guys, first season and I still can't tell Hisui's definitive personality)
Same Takechiyo, Kyubi, Yawaragi, Kohaku, the villains, some past characters, sometimes even Riku. Basically every character who isn't Towa and Setsuna are walking tools for them to use whenever the plot needs it.
And no, I'm not saying "The twins shouldn't be the protagonists", a I'm saying "SIDE CHARACTERS AREN'T JUST PLOT DEVICES, THEY ALSO DESERVE DEFINED PERSONALITIES AND CHARACTER ARCS TO MAKE THE WORLD RICHER, OTHERWISE IT FEELS LIKE THE WORLD REVOLVES AROUND THE PROTAGONISTS"
Inuyasha knew when and how to dedicate an episode to a character, Yashahime doesn't.
Lack of character development
No one, except for Setsuna who is learning to rely and trust more on the girls, has any kind of development (sorry Moroha (・ัω・ั)).
I see Towa exactly the same as in the first episode, and because of how they've barely put attention to Moroha, she has barely shown any growth as well.
And I guess Hisui learnt how to trust his dad, but again, I can barely tell which is his personality, and the rest are background characters.
Powers / Abilities / Weapons
Here they neither explained ANY of the characters abilities properly or made them more powerful making sense.
Towa, just randomly learnt how to concentrate her demon energy in a sword and just keeps getting new abilities without training, and any of them seem to have any effect on Towa like (idk) having the risk of running out of energy. And at the beginning I liked how she struggled with her other demon abilities like smelling things but then they just forgot ;-;.
Setsuna's stick just produces wind and lasers without explanation, and her sealed power doesn't really work naturally.
And Moroha... EXPLAIN BENIYASHA BETTER. SAME FOR THE SPIRITUAL POWERS, that was supposed to be impossible!!! And again they recognized that at the very beginning, why did they forgot about it later???
There barely has been any "world" expansion
Something that Inuyasha never really got into was the "demon society", because with the exception of some tribes they never mentioned anything related to that BUT...
With that thing of Inu no Taisho and Kirinmaru apparently being "royalty" I thought they would talk more about that "Demon hierarchy" or if "Setsuna's courage trial" was something like a demon tradition (damn, that was honestly pretty interesting) but NO.
The topic has been barely mentioned and let's keep saying over and over again what the audience already knows for 24 episodes.
Weird Exposition
The way they threw information at us was pretty weird, like it didn't feel "organic" because instead of the girls getting into whatever situation where "x" character tells them certain things because it is related to what is happening, again, they chose pretty weird ways.
There were like 1,000 different options to tell us what happened to InuKag and Sesshomaru and all of them, like the girls talking with Myoga or Kaede...
BUT THEY CHOSE TO BREAK THE FOURTH WALL.
Comedy
I'm not saying Moroha is a bad comedy relief, she actually came with many good jokes, but you can't leave only ONE character to take care of the comedy. Towa and Setsuna also came with some good funny moments, so why would they only reduce the comedy to Moroha????
(In Inuyasha EVERYONE gave amazing comedy moments, even Sesshomaru)
And the worst part is that they only use the same joke with her most of the time! Losing her bounty and being poor.
"Atmosphere" (?)
I Promise I don't want to sound pretentious with this one ;-;
Those scenes where we were supposed to feel sad because of someone's death, intimidated because Kirinmaru appeared or excited because of a fight didn't work out.
I don't know exactly why but I think that it is because of a combination of lazy animation, bad selection of soundtrack, weird dialogue and the characters' lack of reaction.
So now that I think I've said all the points that they got wrong, let's get to the conclusion.
They stablished side plots or mysteries everywhere and didn't really do anything with them.
The girls never advanced with the story, they just kept running in circles around the same point during 24 episodes. (And no matter how long or short a story is, you can NEVER do that or you'll lose the audience's attention).
And with or without a second season, they made terrible mistakes that won't be able to be fixed. If it is only one season, TERRIBLE, they left way to much things uncovered, and if they plan another season, ALSO TERRIBLE, they rushed essential things and if they work them again they'll repeat one of their biggest mistakes.
And honestly I really tried to love this sequel, almost up to episode 12 I really tried to appreciate the small good things but they just kept slapping me with disappointment every single episode, and if they release a second season, I'll watch it but this time only expecting the worst of it.
In resume, yo can only truly enjoy Yashahime if you completely turn off your critical sense, and expecting nothing from it, otherwise you'll only keep asking yourself "why?"

I always love to meet other self-proclaimed outliers because definitely relate! Thats one thing I love about tumblr so much, I usually feel at home here in a website full of weirdos <3 (affectionately, I love the weirdos) but as with anywhere of course I still feel out of place even here sometimes!
Ooo I bet I said this last time too but I’m loving all the recommendations of all different genres :) And hey great minds think alike, I have a cleaning playlist too! Full of songs that are fun to sing and dance around to or just songs that I really love. Sometimes with the right playlist, all the worst housework just flies by right? In fact, mine started as a cleaning playlist but I even use it on road trips sometimes too, or whenever time feels slow or I need a little distraction or energy boost.
I love Sweeney Todd too, and I really need to listen to the waitress. I’ve heard so many good things about it but for some reason I’ve been so behind on newer musicals lately. Wicked and Hadestown have been my favorites lately, but I somehow always end up in a Hamilton and Les Miserables phase every summer so maybe I’ll have those on repeat soon haha
So glad you like anime too! I actually just started getting into it all last year and I’ve definitely heard of the two you mentioned, especially hunter x hunter, but I’ve never seen either of them. I’ll have to check them out! The only one I’ve completed so far is your lie in april. I’m several seasons into attack on titan (soo good!) and also been loving inuyasha. I think those are my favorites so far, but I’ve started a few others too. Why does anime almost feel addicting or something?? I love it, I can’t believe I was missing out all that time until last year hahaha
And those are both such beautiful classics! Claire de lune is definitely in my bedtime playlist too.
Gotta go get some things done and get ready to see my brother later. I hope your week has been nice :) talk to you later!

Receiving this made me happy haha thanks so much!!
